Three Indonesian Women Become Sex Slaves in Malaysia

After suffering for three months, three Indonesian women who are victims of human trafficking is now in the protection of police officers in Limbang, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Police also arrested five suspected perpetrators of human slavery in a residential area Ranggau Phase 2, Sunday, November 13, 2011. At that time, around 06.00 local time, four local residents - one of them female, and a foreign citizen arrested.

Limbang district police chief, Inspector Saffai Bukhari said the three victims, ages 19 to 32 years, was forced to have sex with the suspects for at least three months.

Bukhari added, employment agencies carry the victims from Indonesia to be employed in Malaysia, as servants or factory workers. However, they are trapped into prostitution in Limbang.

"The victims knew that they were deceived, they were planning to run. However, the intention was known to one of the suspects posing as police officers," said Bukhari, as reported by the Borneo Post, Tuesday, November 15, 2011.

Post-incident fled, the suspects promised to return them to Indonesia and bought a plane ticket.

"Then, three victims asked to stay in Ranggau since last August, but the promise was not kept, they are actually forced to serve the sexual appetite of the suspects,".

On Friday, November 11, 2011, the victim managed to escape. Those who fear, asking local residents for help, then the residents report to the police. "Based on that report, we raided the house and arrested all the suspects," said Bukhari.

Five suspects will undergo the examination for six days. After that the suspects will be set as a convict.
