Indonesian airline, Lion Air became the biggest buyer of Boeing-made passenger aircraft after a deal worth 21.7 billion dollars

The airline Lion Air signed a purchase of aircraft by the manufacturer from the United States, Boeing Co., valued at U.S. $ 21.7 billion or around Rp195 trillion. The deal was announced by the White House in the visit of U.S. President, Barack Obama, the Asia-Pacific.

Signing the agreement were carried out in Bali when Obama attended the ASEAN Summit.

"This is an example of how we will achieve long-term goals, I will double our exports over the next few years," Obama said after attending the signing ceremony, Friday, November 18, 2011.

He described the deal as a situation of "win-win" for consumers in the East Asia and U.S. workers. Obama also said his government and Exi-Im Bank plays an important role in facilitating this agreement.

Democrats are under intense pressure ahead of the general election battle in 2012 to demonstrate progress in improving the economy and reduce the U.S. unemployment rate.

During the nine-day trip in the Asia-Pacific which started in Hawaii, Obama has tried to emphasize the expansion of trade relations with Asia, the region with the fastest growing economies in the world.
